Speakers at our next meeting, at South Kirkby All Saints Community Centre will be Stephanie Gibson – Health Improvement Practitioner from the PCT and Darrel Lacey from Waste Services. If you consider yourself to be disabled or are a Carer/PA or family of someone disabled and would like to be part of the partnership, all are welcome.
You may have issues you would like to share about your community, good or bad practice. The Disabled Peoples Partnership is where you can speak openly and in confidence with like-minded people.
Our next meeting is on Friday 15 February 1.00pm - 3.30pm.

Publicity Sub Group Meeting

The next meeting of the Publicity Sub Group will be on Wednesday 23 January 7.00pm at the Park Club on Mill Lane, South Elmsall, all welcome.

DPP South East Elections

at the January meeting of the Disabled Peoples Partnership South East, elections were held for the post of Chair and Secretary. David Stephens was elected as Chair and Pam Walker as Secretary.

'Going the Extra Yard', clear footpaths on wheelie bin collection days.
District Access Audit - Accessible Parking - Accessible Shops - Public Spaces - Dropped Kerbs - Pelican Crossings etc.
New Health Centres Design - working with the PCT on the design of the new health centres in the Wakefield District, ensuring that they are designed for everyone.
